Search and Rescue Radar Operator (SARROP) Course

The SAR Radar Operator Course (SARROP) is a specialised training program designed to equip maritime SAR professionals with the critical skills and knowledge needed to excel as radar operators in search and rescue (SAR) operations. Students should hold RYA Radar or equivalent certification (if you do not hold certificates but hold equivalent experience, please contact us before booking at council@maritimesar.org)

Delivery

The course is delivered remotely via Zoom by a team of highly experience and commercially qualified maritime SAR Commanders who have commanded a wide range of maritime SAR incidents around the world including mass casualty events, vessel fires, complex searches and migrant incidents. All of our instructors are highly qualified and experienced maritime SAR trainers and assessors, including RYA qualified Radar instructors and experienced SAR Navigators.
